CANADIAN RIDERS READY FOR X-GAMES 15 IN ASPEN, COLORADO
Fifteen Canadian snowboarders to compete in X-Games 15 in five official snowboard events

A total of fifteen Canadian snowboarders will be in Aspen, Colorado to partake in X-Games 15 from January 27-30, 2011 in big air, slopestyle, halfpipe, snowboard cross, snowboard street and para-snowboard.
National team member Dominique Maltais of Petite-Rivière-St-François, QC will be riding in the women’s snowboard cross competition. Maltais is currently ranked first in the FIS World Cup standings, and will face long-time rival Lindsey Jacobellis of the United States, the defending World champion.
In the Men’s snowboard cross, Rob Fagan of Cranbrook, BC, Tom Velisek of Squamish, BC, Kevin Hill of Vernon, BC, Dan Csokonay of Calgary, AB and Jake Holden of Caledon, ON – all on the National team – will be competing.
In the women’s halfpipe, Sarah Conrad of Halifax, NS will be riding in the star-filled contest.
In the men’s slopestyle and big air contests, Canada will be represented by both Seb Toots and Mark McMorris, two riders who rode in some World Cup competitions as well as TTR contests this season.
Partnering with the Adaptive Action Sports (AAS), the X-Games will also feature for the first time the sport of para-snowboard to its programme, as an exhibition event. Canadian National Team members Tyler Mosher and Ian Lockey will be representing Canada in the ground-breaking race.
All competitions take place on Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado.
